Raipur 14 December/Chhattisgarh's prosperity and development captured the artistic imagination of a sand artist, who showcased the accomplishments and changes that made a difference in people's lives. On the completion of one year of Chhattisgarh government, Padam Shri awardee Sudarshan Patnaik showcased state’s development and good governance through sand art in unique way. As part of the Janadesh Parb program at Science College in Raipur, Sudarshan Patnaik attracted everyone's attention with his art in the program. The event was attended by Union Health Minister JP Nadda, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, other ministers, public representatives, and thousands of people on Friday late evening.
Explaining the reason for his participation in the event, Shri Sudarshan Patnaik said, “Through my sand art I expressed my observation and appreciation for overall development that took place in Chhattisgarh under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. Apart from the facilty of Housing to Public to Energy and Forest Conservation efforts, the social fabric is also being strengthened by women empowerment schemes. Chhattisgarh government is also making efforts to boost the economy of the State by introducing New Industrial Policy.” The artist created a stunning sand sculpture to showcase the achievements of Chhattisgarh’s government, marking the completion of one year in office. The sand art of Shri Patnaik artistically expressed glimpse of accomplishment of various ambitious programs that took place in various sectors including Education, Health, Housing, Potable water supply, Women Empowerment, Benefits of Government Schemes to Forest dwellers and other Beneficiary schemes.
Through the lens of sand art, he artistically engraved the Chhattisgarh government's Pradhan Mantri Awas, Krishak Unnati Yojana, EK Ped Maa ke Naam, Mahtari Vandan, Increase in remuneration of Tendu leaf collectors, Rajim Kumbh, Ram Lala Darshan Yojana, New Industrial Policy, Chhattisgarh and other schemes that are improving the living standard of the state.
The public visiting his stall said that this art of Sudarshan Patnaik not only made the public realize the development of the State in one year but also showcased the image of good governance effectively.
