Union Budget 2023-24 is highly disappointing - Mr. Bhupesh Baghel:

post

Raipur, 01 February 2023/ Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, while reacting to the union budget for the financial year 2023-24 presented by the Central government in the Parliament today, said that this budget can be called a ruthless budget of Nirmala ji. Mr. Baghel further said that “In the Union budget, there is no facility for farmers, there is no mention of doubling the income of farmers, there is no facility for women, nor any provision for the welfare of the youth, and there is nothing for the Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes. This budget has just been prepared keeping in view of the elections only.

A surprising aspect of the budget is that Rs 2 lakh 35 thousand crores have been kept in the budget for the railways. But the burning question is whether this amount is for the employees, or for the new recruits, or is it the same scenario where thousands of crores were sanctioned for the renovation of airports and then were sold to private hands. I hope that the central government does not follow the same approach of putting in money for renovation just for the purpose of privatization.”

The Chief Minister further said that Chhattisgarh was hoping for train facility that would start from Ambikapur, and Jagdalpur. But no such arrangements were made. There is no provision to reduce inflation and unemployment rate or for employment generation. Moreover, all food items have become expensive. There have been numerous talks of grains like, Kodo-Kutki, Sawa , but till date their MSP has not been announced by the Government of India and there is no mention of buying these crops from farmers at the support price.
