Korea 08 October 2024 (Dhruv Jaiswal)/ Meeting of District Level Vigilance Advisory Committee for Prevention of Scheduled Castes, Tribes Atrocities was held in the Collectorate hall. District Panchayat President Mrs. Renuka Singh was present in the meeting, while Collector Mrs. Chandan Tripathi presided over it.

The Assistant Commissioner highlighted the work of the committee along with its objectives. The Assistant Commissioner also gave information about the meeting to be held after the year 2022 and everyone was informed about the work of the committee till now. The Collector of the district, who is chairing the committee, has given instructions in the meeting to organize a meeting every quarter, as well as to take care that the subject, reference is updated.

In the meeting, the Collector also obtained information about the atrocity cases related to this, while he reviewed the incentive payments made in inter-caste marriage cases, as well as gave instructions to update the progress report of pending or rejected cases in the next meeting.  There is a provision for payment of travel allowance to the people appearing for the evidence of the victims and the collector also reviewed the amount received and the payment in this regard.

Information was provided that there is no shortage of funds in any case for payment of travel allowance and that the payment is made on time. District Panchayat member and Baikunthpur MLA representative Mrs. Vandana Rajwade, MLA representative Bharatpur-Sonhat Sonia Rajwade, Additional Superintendent of Police Mrs. Monika Thakur and officers of the district administration were present in the meeting.
