Formulated by the Ministry of Heavy Industries with a massive financial outlay of ₹10,900 crore, the scheme marks a historic milestone in India’s transition to clean energy, transforming the way the common citizen travels while significantly curbing carbon emissions.
Shri Agrawal shed light on a crucial ₹57 crore strategic subsidy angle that recently energized the electric vehicle infrastructure and deployment ecosystem in Chhattisgarh. Central government told Agrawal that industry leaders such as Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, and Olectra Greentech have capitalized on the scheme for heavy-duty electric buses and commercial trucks, while household two-wheeler and three-wheeler brands like Ola Electric, Ather Energy, TVS Motor, Bajaj Auto, Hero MotoCorp, and Mahindra & Mahindra have seen unprecedented sales boosts.
