On Monday, International Nurses Day was celebrated at Sri Sathya Sanjeevani Institute of Nursing and Allied Healthcare Sciences, Atal Nagar, Nava Raipur. The college celebrated the Nurses Day as Nightingale week from 06th May 2005 to 12th May 2025. First day, Nurses day inaugural ceremony was organized.
Dr. C. Sreenivas, Chairman of Sri Sathya Sai Health & Education Trust, Dr. Abhileka Biswal, Principal PG College of Nursing, Dr. Sreelata Pillai, Vice-Principal, P G College of Nursing, Bhilai and Dr. P. Balakrishnan, Principal was opened the theme of International Nurses Day of this Year. The theme is "Our Nurses. Our Future. Caring for nurses strengthens economies".The college organized a Rangoli, Quiz, Mehandi Competition, Fancy Dress and Dance competition on different days. The nursing college students and hospital staffs were participated in all the events. The winner and runner up were felicitated on Nurses Day. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao was the Chief Guest on the Nurses Day. Arun Sao went around the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital and interacted with the operated patients and their parents in the post-operative ward. The event started with a musical presentation on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) presented by our M. Sc Nursing students. The function began with the lighting of the traditional lamp by Deputy CM Sao and Chairman of SSSHET, Jitendra Sahu ji, Padmashree Radhe Shyam Barle, Rashminder Chopra and Nursing College Principal.
Deputy Chief Minister Sao felicitated the senior nurses of Hospital and also presented the Gift of Life Certificate & gifts to the patients and their parents from Utter Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh. Paying obeisance at the Lotus feet of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba: Deputy Chief Minister Sao admitted that it was indeed Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s call that he came on such an auspicious occasion. Chairman Dr. C Sreenivas felicitated Sao and the guest with token of Love on behalf of Sathya Sai Sanjeevani family. Padmashree Radhe Shyam Barle and Rohit were honored our winner and runner up students with the medal and certificate.
